KioWare enables you to lock down the user’s access to the device, network and browser to match your project requirements. Browser settings enable you to control what domains or pages users can view as well as define what, if any, files can be downloaded or copied to the computer.
KioWare manages user session to ensure all user data is removed when the user leaves the kiosk, content you specify is displayed to attract the next user, and the application is reset ready for the next user. Your application can concentrate on creating a great user experience.
KioWare provides an easy method to add custom toolbars with buttons to provide a variety of functions such as navigation, zooming, volume control, and custom links. The toolbars can be specifically branded to complement your application. Additional docked browsers can be easily configured to add digital signage or weather information to your kiosk.
Kiosks often use unique devices (EMV credit card readers, bill acceptors/dispensers, RFID scanners, etc), so we provide an easy interface layer between your application and the device. KioWare is especially useful when the application is hosted on a remote server and cannot directly access the device.
It is important that deployed kiosks maintain themselves as much as possible, but when human intervention is required, it is as simple and useful as possible. KioWare can be configured to allow staff to manage specific tasks on the kiosk without providing unsecure access. In addition, KioWare offers scheduled actions that automatically perform tasks such as allowing the display to sleep at night, rebooting the PC, and executing scripts.
Self-service kiosks need to be accessible by all, so KioWare is tightly integrated with Vispero JAWS™, Dolphin Kiosks & SuperNova Enterprise accessibility software, and Storm Interface accessible keypads. KioWare can also lower display content to help with wheelchair reach accessibility.
